Alpine assists client to successfully pivot to a manufacturer direct supply chain strategy for the supply of Seamless Linepipe.  

A key Alpine client realized 60% savings on a prolific project for high-quality, large diameter, seamless pipe by utilizing a manufacturer direct strategy.  This strategy was achieved by leveraging overall spend to overcome hurdles with minimum tonnage through a direct material purchase. 

With careful planning, negotiating concessions on manufacturing and delivery dates, significant savings were realized.  Of course, all with the view to ensuring the construction window would be met.  This resulted in savings in excess of $600,000 by shifting away from a just-in-time model through distribution channels.  

The client adopted the mill direct strategy for future seamless line pipe projects for continued savings.
